Acupuncture is the oldest continuously practiced medical system in the world and is now the most widely used drug free healthcare treatment worldwide. It is recognised as a safe treatment by the World Health Organisation and is very effective in the treatment of many conditions.

My name is Deirdre Souchere and I am a fully qualified licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Medical Herbalist. I trained at the Acupuncture Foundation of Chinese Medicine in Milltown and completed my post-graduate clinical training in the Governmental Hospital in Nanjing, China. I returned to China to further my studies in 2015 where I did an internship with the late Dr Wang Ju Yi, a well renowned practitioner of Chinese Medicine for over 50 years.

I am also a fully qualified Pilates, Yoga, Qi Gong and Tai Chi instructor and often recommends exercises to help improve many conditions for my patients.

I have a special interest in women’s health, fertility and childbirth and am a founding member of Acupuncture for Fertility & Pregnancy Ireland, a group of established and registered acupuncturists who specialise in the treatment of fertility, pregnancy, obstetrics and gynaecology in Ireland. I have completed several training courses in this area including a post graduate diploma course in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with London based medical consultant Dr Trevor Wing. I am a Zita West affiliated acupuncturist. I also completed training in The Fertile Body Method which incorporates hypnosis and other mind-body approaches that can be used to help people who have fertility problems, unexplained infertility or are undergoing medical treatments such as IVF. I have also trained in Quantum Coherence Therapy which is an energy-based protocol that can be used as a stand-alone treatment or to enhance other treatment modalities.

I am passionate in my support of couples trying to conceive and assisting women throughout their pregnancy.
